Abraham Credits Wife For Balance Heading Into Glory 50
As a fighter, you’re always in the search of balance and discipline. For Richard Abraham, who not only is a full-time fighter, but also the co-owner of two businesses, and the father of six children, he has found his balance in his better half.
On February 17th, Abraham returns to the GLORY ring in the co-main event of GLORY 50 Chicago against Malik Watson-Smith, and gets to fight in-front of his friends and family. That is something that is special for Abraham, who has fought all over the world since turning pro.
Abraham told FIGHT SPORTS that he wants to show those closest to him that all the “hard work and sacrifices I’ve been making have been worth it.”
One of those people closest to him is someone who’s not only his manager, but also his business partner, and also happens to be the mother of his children.
“It’s very tough, we don’t have time for anything, we’re constantly on the move”, said Abraham of he and his wife who recently opened up their new gym and training center, Maximus Muay Thai. He credits his wife for keeping him on- track with not only his career, but also his diet and keeping he and their six kids on schedule.
“My wife is an incredible woman, why I’m able to accomplish so much is because of her… Together we’re an unstoppable team.”
For Abraham, it is important to show his kids that through hard work and dedication, anything is possible. And he looks to prove it this Friday night in his hometown, at GLORY 50 against Malik-Watson-Smith. With his wife and kids watching on, Abraham hopes they head on their short ride home with his sixth win in a GLORY ring, growing strong
