Abraham & Watson-Smith Added To GLORY 58

GLORY has added two Chicagoland natives to its return to Chi-City on September 14th on September 14th, at the Sears Cente Arena.

Richard Abraham and Malik Watson-Smith return to GLORY, after the two faced off at GLORY 50, with Abraham walking away from the event with the victory.

Abraham faces off against Omari Boyd, who looks to continue his three fight winning streak, while Watson-Smith will face off against Alan Scheinson in a welterweight showdown.

GLORY 58 will also feature the GLORY 58 SuperFight Series, which will feature a one-night qualifier tournament with four American welterweight to earn a spot in an upcoming contender tournament.

Mike Lemaire and Omar Moreno will put their two fight winning streaks on the line in the first semi-final fight, while Casey Green looks to end his losing skid against Troy Jones who debuted with a win over Paul Banasiak at GLORY 52 SuperFight Series in March.

Also added to the card for the evening’s SuperFight Series is Australian standout Junior Tafa, who will square off with fellow hard hitting heavyweight Haze Wilson.

In a middleweight fight, Matt Baker faces Muay Thai practitioner and GLORY newcomer Thomas Jenkins.

GLORY 58 SuperFight Series will also feature a one-night qualification tournament, with four American welterweights competing to punch their ticket to an upcoming contender tournament.

In the first of two tournament semifinal bouts, Mike “The French Rock” Lemaire (20-5, 8 KO, fighting out of the United States) meets Omar “Marsiano” Moreno (27-7-1, 9 KO, fighting out of the United States). Heading into their first round match-up, Lemaire and Moreno are each on a two-fight winning streak under the GLORY banner.
