Accused Murderer Of UFC Star Walt Harris’ Daughter Gets Indicted

The indictment comes three years after the murder.

After almost three years of the murder of the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris, the accused man has been indicted on three charges: Murder during a kidnapping, during robbery and involving a victim in a motor vehicle.

Suspect Ibraheem Yazeed, 32, now faces the possibility of a life-in-prison sentence for the killing of Aniah Blanchard. He was indicted in an Alabama courtroom last week.

Yazeed was first arrested in Pensacola in November 2019 before Lee County took him into custody.

When he was apprehended, the suspect was out on bail for a separate attempted murder case in Alabama where he allegedly beat a 77-year-old man to near death in a hotel.

After the news surfaced, UFC President Dana White and former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones were among some notable names in the MMA circles to have helped spread the word of the disappearance of Harris’ daughter after she was declared missing.

A few months after the murder, Harris returned to UFC where he lost via a second-round TKO to Alistair Overeem in a UFC Fight Night main event. Despite the loss, Harris earned heaps of praise for turning up to the octagon during a tragic time for his family.
