Adam Kownacki has given boxing fans some mega fights over the years.
The 34-year-old may not have been an elite-level fighter, but his career has been marked by some big highlights.
His amateur record speaks for itself, having won the New York Golden Gloves on two occasions. And as he turned pro, the Pole’s resume had some impressive wins.

Victories over Artur Szpilka, in an all-Polish clash, were followed up by victories over Iago Kiladze, Charles Martin, Gerald Washington, and Chris Arreola.
Thereafter, his huge moment almost arrived. Kownacki was linked with a fight with Deontay Wilder. However, the Pole instead faced Robert Helenius.
A fourth-stoppage defeat ended those hopes, as Halenius would face Wilder later down the line instead. Thereafter, things were not the same.
Kownacki’s last fight was a defeat to Joe Cusumano, his fourth loss in a row that included three stoppages. The calls on him to retire may increase, but Kownacki’s career has kept fans entertained.
