Adams May Face Charlo Instead Of GGG

Gennady Golovkin’s debut on DAZN may see an issue, as his rumored opponent, Brandon Adams may pull out of their June 8th showdown.

Golovkin announced his deal with the streaming service last month, signing a multi-fight deal beginning with a June 8th card with WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade in the co-main event against challenger Maciej Sulecki.

Adams was set to face Golovkin in the former unified champion’s first fight since his September 2018 loss to Canelo Alvarez, and now according to World Boxing News, has had a change of heart.

Adams hopes to instead face WBC interim middleweight champion, Jermall Charlo on June 15th for a PBC card that has yet to be announced.
