Israel Adesanya will headline against Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Saudi Arabia on February 1 from the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Adesanya is coming off a fourth-round submission defeat against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305. It was his second consecutive defeat, the first time he had been through that, missing out on the UFC Middleweight Title. Adesanya had suffered a loss to Sean Strickland at UFC 293 in the fight before. Imavov is ranked number seven in the middleweight rankings.
He secured a win over Brendan Allen at UFC Paris in his previous fight. That was his third consecutive win after victories against Jared Cannonier and Roman Dolidze. In chief support, Michael Page takes on Shara Magomedov. Page suffered a loss to Ian Machado Garry at UFC 303 in his last fight. That was his first UFC defeat after having beaten Kevin Holland. Magomedov is undefeated, having beaten Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 in his last fight. That took his UFC record to 4-0. Dana White confirmed the two fights.
