Adrien Broner Changes Opponent Again For Upcoming BLK Prime Pay-Per-View

Broner is scheduled to fight on February 25.

The next BLK Prime Pay-Per-View extravaganza has added a new opponent to its roster.

According to the reports from Boxing Scene, former four-division champion Adrien Broner will be taking on Michael Williams Jr. (20-1, 13 KOs) in the scheduled show on February 25 at the Gateway Park Arena in Georgia.

It will be the third opponent for Broner, and all of them have come in a span of one week. The latest change comes one week after Philadelphia’s Hank Lundy (31-12-1, 14KOs) was said to be the next opponent for Broner. He will replace Ivan Redkach who was forced to withdraw due to tensions between him and promoter Joe DeGuardia.

Lundy wasn’t involved in any fight ever since he was dealt with a suspension by the California State Athletic Commission. The veteran previously pulled out of the fight against Ernesto Mercado (8-0, 8KOs) after sustaining a cut that never healed in time for the show.

Lundy stated that he had submitted the documents to event promoter RED Boxing International, who suspended the boxer on what was believed to be a legal matter. The show continued in Atlanta, urging the BLK Prime team to get a new foe for their latest signing.

Eventually, they discovered Williams from North Carolina, who stepped up in competition against an inactive Broner. He has only tasted defeat once in his career, which was a fourth-round stoppage time loss against John Bauza.
