Adrien Broner’s life under Don King is not going as well as he may have planned following the four-division champion’s latest interview.
Broner made his comeback after around two years out of the ring to secure a unanimous-decision win over Bill Hutchinson.
Although the victory was comfortable, Broner’s failure to stop his opponent raised question marks over his longevity.
And yet, in his post-fight comments, he made it clear that he was looking to face the other junior-welterweight champions, as he called out Rolando Romero and Regis Prograis.
But Broner’s comeback had been marred by struggles. He admitted dealing with many issues: bankruptcy, alcohol addiction and mental health, to name a few, which contributed to his two-year hiatus.
And given his recent interview below, it is clear that the ‘Problem’ is working through troubles outside of the ring.
Broner appeared troubled as he held some alcohol at the end of the interview, clearly looking out of sorts, as he shut down the interview.
“The craziest thing, though, there isn’t [anyone] like me…I gotta go, call the jet. Send me to Cincinnati. I gotta go,” Broner
Those comments raised the concern of the boxing fans, who were wishing ‘AB’ the best in the hope he would return back better and stronger.
