Adrien Broner Signs With Don King – ‘I Can Hardly Wait’

Adrien Broner, a former world champion in multiple weight categories, has recently inked a deal with the iconic promoter Don King.

AB, also known as Broner, had signed a contract with BLK Prime for a duration of 12 months and three fights.

However, due to the cancellation of several scheduled fights, the agreement was terminated.

Broner has expressed his ambition to clinch world titles, as well as unify and safeguard them, under King’s guidance.

Broner, who is currently 33 years old with a record of 34-4-1 and 24 knockouts, has largely been inactive.

It will be a challenging task for King to revive his career and bring him back to the level of a world championship fight.

Broner’s last noteworthy victory was against Gavin Rees in 2013, and he hasn’t performed well since then.

Since his welterweight title challenge against Paulie Malignaggi in June 2013, he has appeared a mere fraction of his former self.

And yet, Broner appears more optimistic than ever. In his post-signing comments, he said: “I can hardly wait to get back into the ring again. Winning a world title and constantly defending or unifying the titles is what I am aiming to do.”
