Adrien Broner’s Opponent For 2021 Return Revealed

Adrien Broner has an opponent lined up for his return.

Broner will be back in action on Showtime. The date is set for February 13. His opponent will be Pedro Campa. Mike Coppinger of The Athletic first reported the matchup.

Broner hasn’t been seen inside the ring since January 2019. It was a losing effort against Manny Pacquiao for the WBA (Regular) Welterweight Title. Broner was defeated via unanimous decision.

Campa sports a pro boxing record of 31-1. In 21 of those victories, Campa scored the knockout or TKO. Campa last competed in October 2019, defeating Kenin Betancourt by way of TKO.

Broner will be in search of his first win since February 2017. If he does get past Campa, then it would be just five days shy of exactly four years since Broner’s last victory. He has gone 0-2-1 in his last three outings.

Campa’s lone career defeat took place back in October 2017. He suffered a TKO loss at the hands of Carlos Jimenez. It was an upset loss as Jimenez’s record was 11-8-1 at the time, while Campa was 27-0.

Broner was also 27-0 with a No Contest before he suffered his first career loss back in December 2013. That defeat came courtesy of Marcos Maidana, who took the WBA Welterweight Title via unanimous decision.
