AJ Confident He Will “Shine” Against Ruiz Jr

With a win on Saturday night likely, Anthony Joshua looks to shine against Andy Ruiz Jr. and call for a sit down with WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Joshua will defend his IBF, WBO, and WBA “super” heavyweight championships against Ruiz in the British boxer’s first fight on American soil inside Madison Square Garden.

“Saturday night, win and look good,” Joshua told Sky Sports of his plans heading into fight night. “Straight to Wilder.”

“There’s been a lot of interest around the whole fight. The Jarrell Miller situation, the Wilder situation, (Tyson) Fury, Dillian Whyte all these heavyweights,” added Joshua.

“It’s my time to shine now, so it’s good, I feel the buzz, it’s really good.”

“They should sit us down face to face, that would be good,” Joshua said about setting terms with Wilder. “I think they should sit us down face to face and talk about what the issues are man to man and get this fight sorted this year.”
