AJ McKee Vs. Patricio Pitbull II Targeted For April

Bellator is working to schedule the biggest rematch in Bellator’s featherweight division history.

A highly anticipated clash between AJ McKee, the rising star and the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter of Bellator, and Patricio Pitbull, the former double champion, is targeted to happen in April.

MMA journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to report on the fight and its likely date. The venue and location are yet to be determined.

McKee is one of the best featherweights in Bellator for this moment.

His record includes 18 victories and no defeats. In 2021, he finally earned his title shot against one of the best fighters of the promotion, “Pitbull” Freire. He defeated the Brazilian in the first round via submission guillotine choke after landing a clear high kick.

Pitbull was a double champion of Bellator.

He lost his featherweight title against McKee and vacated lightweight after that because he wanted to give his brother, Patricky, the opportunity of winning the title, which he did. And secondly, he wanted to focus on a featherweight title rematch against McKee.
