Alan Patrick Vs. Mason Jones Rematch Set In October Following Accidental Eye-Poke
Alan Patrick and Mason Jones will share the octagon once again on October 23.
The last time the fighters met was at UFC Fight Night 189 in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 5, but Jones accidentally eye-poked Patrick who could not continue the fight. UFC decided to schedule a rematch between the two.
Both fighters are willing to fight each other again.
It was the second fight for Jones in the UFC. He lost in his debut fight against Mike Davis.
Jones was the lightweight champion of Cage Warriors and signed in the UFC as an undefeated fighter. It was his opportunity to make a statement in the UFC, but it never happened.
Patrick is a very experienced fighter.
He is a member of the promotion since 2013 and was undefeated before signing in the UFC, too.
Right now, his record is 15-3-0 with 1 NC. He earned five victories in the UFC and three defeats.
Before sharing the octagon with Jones, he was on two losing streaks. He suffered a loss against Bobby Green and Scott Holtzman.
This rematch will be held on what fans might call the most exciting fight nights of the month.
The headlining event is going to be a middleweight clash between Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori. Both fighter’s last battle was against current middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, and in both cases, Adesanya trounced them without any issues.
