Aldo Wants Stephens At UFC 224

Jose Aldo is looking to rebound from back-to-back TKO losses to Featherweight champion Max Holloway, and feels the best way to do it is at UFC 224 in Rio.

Per MMA Fighting, the former featherweight champion has marked Jeremy Stephens as who he wants to face on May 12th in Rio. Aldo confirmed this when he told Brazilian TV show Revista Combate.

“I asked to fight him, he asked to fight me, so it will be a great fight,” Aldo said. “I’m waiting for them to set it up.”

Aldo has not won a fight since UFC 200 in 2016, when he took a decision win against Frankie Edgar, and had two straight losses against Holloway.

Stephens is riding a three fight win streak, that was capped by a TKO win over Josh Emmett in February.
