Alex Pereira’s Next Fight Will Be Announced This Weekend
Alex Pereira’s next opponent will be revealed Saturday, October 3, during UFC 332, which will be headlined by the women’s strawweight title fight between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong.
Dana White agreed to make the announcement on MMA content creator Nina Drama’s UFC 332 Kick stream if a video they shot together got more than 25,000 comments, which it did.
Pereira (13-4) has not competed since losing his interim-heavyweight title fight to Ciryl Gane by TKO at UFC Freedom 250 in June, missing out on becoming the UFC’s first three-division champion in history. The Brazilian sought an immediate rematch after complaining of illegal strikes to the back of his head.
Gane has since been booked to defend the heavyweight championship against Josh Hokit at UFC 334 on November 14.
Pereira recently indicated that his next fight had been arranged, sharing training footage alongside a message promising “a big challenge.”
Sergei Pavlovich has been linked to a potential heavyweight matchup with Pereira, and we will find out this weekend if that’s the fight the UFC has planned.
