Alexa Grasso Out Of UFC 324, New Opponent Scheduled For Rose Namajunas
With just 7 weeks until UFC 324, Alexa Grasso has withdrawn from her top 10 flyweight matchup with Rose Namajunas, but luckily Natália Silva has stepped in to fill the void.
UFC 324 is set to go down on January 24th live from inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In the main event, the hard hitting Justin Gaethje will square off with Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett over the course of 5 rounds to determine the new interim lightweight champion. Preceding the headling bout, returning former two-division champion Amanda Nunes will square off with current women’s bantamweight titleholder Kayla Harrison.
Interestingly enough, Grasso faced her replacement back in May at UFC 315, with the judges’ decision going the way of Silva. Many are saying that this is a more difficult fight for Namajunas, as Silva is currently on a 7-0 run since joining the promotion in 2022, meanwhile Grasso was on a 2-fight skid.
