Alexander Volkanovski Shows He’s Gearing Up For UFC 266

Alexander Volkanovski seems to be working hard for his second title defense against Brian Ortega at UFC 266.

Volkanovski (22-1) posted a video of his training on Instagram where he is doing lots of takedowns. This is one of the best exercises for fighting stamina, which is different from running, swimming, or other bits of stamina.

He posted this video with the text “ready for war,” as it looks like he is getting ready for five rounds if it will get necessary.

It is going to be the finals of another Ultimate Fighters season. Volkanovski became champion by dethroning Max Holloway. He defeated him via split decision.

After that, they fought again, but Volkanovski defended his title in a very close fight, defeating Holloway twice in a row.

The last time Ortega stepped in the octagon from inside against Chan Sung Jung. He was dominating against Jung for five rounds and earned another victory.

It is going to be his second title shot.

Ortega was defeated against Holloway, a former featherweight champion , and now he will try to dethrone the current champion, Volkanovski.
