Thirteen years after retiring with a perfect record, Laila Ali wonders why Claressa Shields is calling herself the Greatest Woman Of All Time.
Speaking with Sway In The Morning, Ali claimed Shields is not fighting real competition, and if the two ever faced off, she’d finish the current three-division champion.
“Let’s just keep it honest. Don’t say that I’m not talented because I’m the most talented female fighter there has been in the history of boxing. Laila Ali is all bark, no bite. If a girl call me out, I answer. She fought against soccer moms and probably strippers or something. I fight real fighters,” Shields told TMZ Sports.
Shields’ also blasted Ali for “ducking” heavy-hitting Ann Wolfe and littering her resume with “bums.”
If a fight were to be made, it has been reported by Boxing Scene that Ali wants $10 million to return to fighting at age 42, something Shields is willing to give her… if she wins.
“The loser gets $5 million. The winner gets $10 million,” Shields said. “We can make it happen if she really wants to make it happen.”
