Ali DQ’d for Biting His Opponent, Price

A bizarre, controversial ending occurred on the undercard of the Liam Smith vs. Sam Eggington card in Liverpool, England, as a fighter was disqualified and lost his undefeated record for biting an opponent.

Kash Ali entered his fight with David Price at 15-0 with seven knockouts but found himself in trouble early on in their bout. Ali was busted up around the face and suffered a bloodied nose, and when he was rocked in the fifth round, Ali tackled Price and took him to the canvas, forcing the referee to step between the two men.

Ali bit Price’s torso right before the referee came in, and when the official saw a clear bite mark on Price’s torso, Ali was immediately disqualified.

Ali was pelted with debris from the Liverpool crowd upon leaving the ring, and he got into it with some fans before entering the locker room.
