Ali: Jacobs Can’t Make Mistakes With Canelo

If Daniel Jacobs is to walk out of Las Vegas as unified middleweight champion, fellow New Yorker Sadam Ali feels the Brooklynite needs to play error-free ball against Canelo Alvarez.

“It is going to be tough. Canelo is young and still hungry. As you can see he is still hungry. He has speed. He has power. He is a great fighter but Danny Jacobs brings tools to the fight that is going to be awkward for Canelo as well. It is going to a great fight. We are all excited to see what is going to happen,” Ali stated leading up to fight night.

“In my mind that is his plan. He has to be perfect all through out the fight. He can’t afford to make a mistake. Everything has to be right and he has to stay focused,” said Ali, who is picking Jacobs to win on Saturday night.

“They can both crack. They can both punch. We just gotta see what happens. We gotta see who steps up that night.”
