Former 135-pound UFC titleholder Aljamain Sterling has hinted on Twitter at what his next move may be.
At UFC 292 back in August, Sterling fell victim to Sean O’Malley’s swift counter right straight, leading to a second round KO and the loss of his bantamweight title. This was Aljo’s first loss since 2017, and it now seems that may have been the last time we see “Funk Master” in the 135-pound division.

Earlier this week, Sterling was asked on Twitter when he plans to return to the cage, to this the former champion had an exact month in mind, and hinted at who he wants to face.

In addition to mentioning his plans to return in March, Sterling hinted that he would like to face Max Holloway next, meaning that he would be making the move up to the featherweight division. While no official announcement has been made, this information has given the fans lots to think about.
The addition of Sterling to the 145-pound division could present some interesting matchups, and give the weight class a much-needed shakeup.
