Alonzo Menifield Battles Through Broken Thumb To Secure Homecoming Victory

“The bone was poking out,” Joe Rogan said following Alonzo Menifield’s interview after his grueling victory over Iwo Baraniewski on the main card at UFC 331 in L.A.

Being from the Southern California area himself, Menifield got quite the warm welcome from his hometown crowd inside the CRYPTO.com Arena. But the L.A. native faced adversity early on in the match, suffering a broken thumb in the first round.

Despite the devastated condition his thumb was in, Menifield continued to throw with the injured hand and battled through the evident and surely immense pain. The match was close, but in the third round Menifield was able to continue the pace he brought in second, and secure the split decision victory over Baraniewski.

They left it all in the Octagon 🤝

Who do you think won?
