Amanda Nunes-Julianna Pena Moved To UFC 269 In December
UFC fans are in for a treat at UFC 269 when Amanda Nunes will defend her bantamweight crown against Julianna Pena on December 11.
The showdown was supposed to be UFC 265, but was postponed for Nunes to recover from Covid-19. The two-division champion had tested positive for virus days before the August event. She has now recovered.
The UFC hasn’t confirmed the venue to host UFC 269, but Las Vegas is the most likely venue.
Nunes, the No. 1 pound-for-pound female fighter in the world, last shared the octagon with Megan Anderson in March. She steamrolled through Anderson to grab her 12th win on the trot.

Pena is another household name for the UFC fans.
She rose to fame after becoming the first woman to win The Ultimate Fighter reality series in 2013. She had beaten Jessica Rakoczy via TKO in the final seconds of the first round to become TUF 18 women’s bantamweight champion.
With a staggering 6-2 record in the UFC, Pena has been handed a title shot in arguably the toughest challenge of her MMA career so far. She’s coming off a win over Sara McMann via submission in January.
