Amanda Nunes ‘Undoubtedly’ Wants Rematch Vs. Julianna Pena To Reclaim Title

Amanda Nunes said she’s coming back better than ever.

She announced on Instagram that she just needs time to recoup and then she’s ready to hop back into the octagon with Julianna Pena, the new UFC bantamweight champion.

“You think I’m going to go out unbalanced,” Nunes said.

“I undoubtedly accept the rematch. Give me a little time to get my sh-t together and I will be back better than ever.”

Pena shocked everyone, but herself, when she submitted Nunes in the second round of the co-main event of UFC 269 Saturday night.

Pena said she was open to a rematch with the former champion if she was. UFC President Dana White said Nunes could have a rematch if she wanted.

And on Monday, Nunes made it clear she wants a second chance.

Saturday night was Nunes’ first loss since 2014 to Cat Zingano.
