Amanda Serrano Unifies Titles With Unanimous Decision Win Vs. Sarah Mahfoud

Amanda Serrano is an undisputed champion.

Serrano earned a unanimous decision win over Sarah Mahfoud, who she defeated with scorecards of 99-92, 97-93 and 97-93. With the victory, she successfully unified the world featherweight titles at the AO Arena on the undercard of Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker on Saturday.

The win marked a bounce back for Serrano who lost to Ireland’s Katie Taylor, in an attempt to gain all four world lightweight titles back in April.

Serrano hadn’t fought at 126 pounds in over a year, but was still able to land hard blows on Mahfoud.

In the fourth round, Serrano was digging with punches to the head and body. Mahfoud tried to respond with a jab, but Serrano seemed to be walking right through those shots.

Serrano began to slow down by the sixth round, but was still outboxing her opponent. She caught Mahfoud with an overhand right in the seventh round.

Mahfoud never landed anything significant.
