American Fighter Lands Instant UFC Deal After 47-Second KO
Josh Quinlan has been handed a UFC contract after he extended his winning streak to six by beating Logan Urban on the Dana White’s Contender Series.
The welterweight has yet to be defeated in his pro MMA career. Quinlan (6-0) had his intentions clear from the beginning.
“This kid is 6-0, and let’s be fair to Logan. Logan took this fight on short notice, and Josh treated him like he was someone who took this fight on short notice,” the UFC President Dana White said while distributing deals. “You couldn’t have a better debut, kid. Congratulations — come over and get your contract.”
He chased Urban around the octagon before he threw a barrage of punches and got the finish in under a minute. The referee had to stop the contest after Urban did not answer to back-to-back strikes of Quinlan.

White, who was watching the showdown from the front row, shouted: “Holy s***!” after he saw the welterweight bout end in a jiffy.
It is, however, unclear when Quinlan will be seen in action at UFC.
The Contender Series has a history of funneling talented men and women into the biggest MMA promotions in the world.
