Amir Khan Robbed At Gunpoint For Watch
Former world champion Amir Khan was robbed at gunpoint on Monday while with his wife, Faryal Makhdoom.
Khan said two men approached him with a firearm and asked for his $93,000 custom watch.
Just had my watch taken off me at gun point in East London, Leyton. I crossed the road with Faryal, luckily she was few steps behind me. 2 men ran to me, he asked for my watch whist having a gun pointed in my face. The main thing is we’re both safe.

“Just had my watch taken off me at gun point in East London, Leyton,” Khan wrote on Twitter.
“I crossed the road with Faryal, luckily she was few steps behind me. 2 men ran to me, he asked for my watch whist having a gun pointed in my face. The main thing is we’re both safe.”
The Metropolitan Police sent a statement to CNN and said they were called just after 9 p.m. of the incident.
“A man aged in his 30s is alleged to have been approached by two males who threatened him with a firearm before stealing his watch and fleeing,” the statement read.
“There were no reports of any shots fired or any injuries. Police responded and conducted an area search. At this very early stage there have been no arrests.
“An investigation has begun and police are following a number of enquiries.”
Khan last fought on February 19 when he was handed a TKO loss by longtime rival Kell Brook. There is a rematch clause in place, but Khan has yet to exercise it.
It was Khan’s first fight since a TKO victory against Billy Dib in July 2019. Before that, the 35-year-old was technically knocked out by Terence Crawford in the sixth round in April 2019.
This past weekend, Khan was ringside for the Conor Benn vs Chris Van Heerden fight where Benn demolished Heerden in two rounds. Khan embraced Benn after his win.
