Akhmadaliev Warns Inoue About His Power – ‘I Have The Tools’

Murodjon Akhmadaliev has backed himself to beat Naoya Inoue

Akhmadaliev was ringside to see Inoue stop Marlon Tapales from becoming the undisputed super bantamweight champion. The win made Inoue a two-weight undisputed champion. Inoue’s promoter singled out Akhmadaliev as one of three opponents in consideration for his next fight.

Akhmadaliev beat Kevin Gonzalez in his last fight, taking his record to 12-1. He is a former IBF & WBA super bantamweight champion, showing he is at world level. He is the WBA mandatory for Inoue’s title and has warned the Japanese about his power.

“I feel like I’m the best fighter in this division. I feel like I have the tools needed to beat Inoue. I feel like I have the most power in this division. I feel like I’m the best fighter, the whole package that he hasn’t faced. I will give him the challenge that he hasn’t faced before. I definitely feel that, and I feel I can beat him,” Akhmadaliev said

Inoue aspires to become a five-division champion. His power has increased with the weight classes, as he has seven stoppages in a row. But after becoming undisputed, Inoue ruled out a move to featherweight immediately. The four-division champion intends to stay at 122 pounds for his next three fights. Akhmadaliev expects Inoue to pose a tough challenge.

“I respect and admire what Inoue does in the ring. He moves up weight classes, and he’s knocking everyone out. That’s amazing. There’s not too many guys that I’m watching their fights, and he’s one of the guys that I’m watching. Again, I think I’m so much different than anyone that he’s ever fought, and I can take a punch, for sure, and I can also punch,” Inoue
