Anthony Joshua’s Next Fight Features Big Names On The Undercard

Anthony Joshua’s next fight is likely to be on September 21 from Wembley, with plenty of potential big names on the card.

Joshua is coming off a second-round KO win over Francis Ngannou in March. It was his third consecutive stoppage, two since he teamed up with Ben Davidson. Joshua has now worked himself into a position to potentially face Daniel Dubois. Dubois became the IBF Interim Heavyweight Champion with an eighth-round stoppage victory against Filip Hrgovic this month.

It was his second stoppage win in a row after stopping Jarrell Miller. The wins silenced doubters over Dubois’ determination. His loss against Oleksandr Usyk was criticized after suggestions he failed to get up in time after getting knocked down. Meanwhile, Dubois took a knee in his loss to Joe Joyce when he broke his orbital bone.

Joshua and Dubois could fight for the full IBF Title. Usyk is the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, who is required to face his IBF mandatory next. However, he has a rematch with Tyson Fury on December 21. While he has applied for an IBF exemption allowing him to retain the belt, he could be stripped. Either way, the Saudis are planning a  big card. Dan Rafael and Eddie Hearn teased something big.

“If things go the way we’re all planning at the moment, it’ll be the best card the country’s ever seen,” Hearn said
