Bellator Paris: Cedric Doumbe electrifies home crowd, Mix retains belt

Bellator Champions Series brought Cedric Doumbe back to Paris and in return, Doumbe brought the show to Paris. Taking on the very-game Jaleel Willis in the co-main event last Friday night, Doumbe scored a first-round TKO victory and firmly reestablished himself as one of the biggest stars on the Bellator and PFL’s roster.

In his last trip to Paris, Doumbe fought under the PFL against Baysangur Chamsoudinov, suffering his lone professional loss when the fight was called due to a splinter injury. Following his win over Willis, Doumbe came face-to-face with former UFC champion Anthony Pettis, who is set be his next opponent with a date and location to be announced later. 

In the main event of Bellator Paris, reigning bantamweight champion Patchy Mix successfully defended his title in a split-decision victory over Magomed Magomedov

After 7 consecutive victories to his name and his first title defense, Mix called out top contender Leandro Higo to be his next opponent.
