Former UFC champion BJ Penn has had an illustrious MMA career having last fought in 2019, which was his seventh fight in a row.
However, he might enter the cage again if his one condition is met.
The Hawaiian star has revealed time and again how WWE legend Hulk Hogan has been his inspiration since childhood. In an interview on his website, Penn said he would gladly return if Hogan walks him down the octagon.
“You know how it is, everyone has that guy they look up to as a kid and for me, that man was the Hulkster,” Penn said.
“Hulk Hogan was my hero and such an inspiration for me growing up. Those are such good memories to look back on. Hulk Hogan was a larger-than-life figure and I hope he realizes how many lives he’s touched in such a positive way.”
“That is definitely on my bucket list,” Penn said about connecting with Hogan.
“When we were talking about having him come out (to my fight), I was just thinking of having him come and sit in the front row. But yeah, imagine walking out with him? Geez, I would come back for one more fight to make that happen.”
The 43-year-old was one of the avid wrestling fans who were taken aback by the former WWF/WWE champion for the better part of the 80s before turning heel and revolutionizing the WCW brand in the mid-to-late 90s.
At UFC 232 in 2018, Penn tried his best to get Hogan to watch his fight, but the wrestling veteran couldn’t make it due to logistical issues.
