Chris Eubank Jr. Is A Free Agent; Slams His Former Promoter

After ending ties with Kalle Sauerland and Wasserman Boxing, Chris Eubank Jr. is a free agent.

Eubank Jr. is looking for his first fight since beating Liam Smith in September 2023. It was his first fight under Brian McIntyre, Terence Crawford’s trainer. A fight with Conor Benn is unlikely following Benn’s two failed VADA tests for Clomiphene. Eubank Jr. also hinted at a fight with Crawford. He shared a mock poster of the two fighters, increasing suggestions it could be made. However, Bomac dismissed it, describing it as ‘fake news.’

“It’s fake news man I don’t know who put that out there. Somebody said Eubank did. He could be just playing, or something like that. But you know, stay in the gym, so anything come his way he’ll be ready for it,” Bomac stated

A unification at 160 against Janibek Alimkhanuly, the WBO and IBF champion, also failed. While there have been talks over fights with Billy Joe Saunders and Kell Brook, both men are no closer to returning. Brook is retired, while Saunders has still not made his comeback since losing to Canelo Alvarez in 2021. Since Eubank is 34, he is desperate to get his career back on track.
