Cris Cyborg Confirms Her PFL Debut Against Larissa Pacheco

Cris Cyborg, the Bellator Women’s Featherweight Champion, has announced her PFL debut against Larissa Pacheco.

The news comes after PFL Chairman Donn Davis teased a summer card in Saudi Arabia, with a headline event of Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira, with Cyborg vs. Pacheco on the co-main event. Cedric Doumbe was also mentioned on the undercard. Davis expected the card to take place between July and September. While Cyborg has not mentioned a date, her announcement does fit within the timeline of a summer bout.

Cyborg has been waiting to make her PFL debut following the organization’s acquisition of Bellator last year. Her previous MMA fight was a first-round TKO victory against Cat Zingano at Bellator 300 last October. It was the fifth successful defense of her belt, which she won against Julia Budd at Bellator 238 in January 2020.

She had been chasing a fight with Kayla Harrison. However, that failed when Harrison signed with the UFC to face Holly Holm at UFC 300, where she won. As she waited for her next MMA fight, Cyborg boxed Kelsey Wickstrum and won via a first-round KO.

Pacheco made her name for beating Harrison in a lightweight clash to win the 2022 PFL World Championships. Since then, Pacheco has won four on the bounce. Her previous fight was a unanimous decision win over Marina Mokhnatkina at featherweight to win the 2023 PFL World Championships.
