Earlier this week, confirmed reports came in that Todd Grisham will be joining the UFC’s broadcast team for FOX Sports 1.

Grisham himself confirmed the reports this week with a change to his Twitter handle.

While Grisham will not be a replacement for Mike Goldberg, the longtime UFC play-by-play man who left the promotion following UFC 207, Grisham will be working the UFC’s FOX Sports 1 studio desk, while also holding some play-by-play duties. Grisham’s first assignment will be working the studio desk for the Jan. 15 UFC Fight Night card headlined by Yair Rodriguez and B.J. Penn.
It’s rumored this deal is a short trial run for Grisham.

Grisham has served as GLORY’s backstage and postfight interviewer since debuting at GLORY 30. He handled play-by-play duties for the SueprFight Series portions of the GLORY 35 and GLORY 36 cards, as well as the GLORY: Collision pay-per-view.
Grisham’s broadcasting career started with the WWE in 2004. He served as a play-by-play commentator for shows such as SmackDown and Sunday Night Heat, hosted recap shows and performed interview segments with superstars. He left the WWE in 2011, when he went to ESPN, where he hosted ESPNEWS’ former overnight highlights show, Highlight Express, replaced Jon Anik as host of MMA Live, and even anchored SportsCenter. Grisham also served on the broadcast team for ESPN’s old Friday Night Fights program before it was replaced by Premier Boxing cards on ESPN.
