Jorge Masvidal has expressed his willingness to collaborate with either AEW or WWE after retiring from MMA.
This should not come as a surprise given the manner in which Masvidal’s career declined at the latter stages. His last fight against Gilbert Burns on April 8th, 2023, ended in a unanimous-decision defeat.
And in the process of doing so, it continued Masvidal’s losing streak to four fights. Thereafter, he confirmed his retirement in a career where he has the fastest knockout in MMA history of just five seconds.
While that may have been the case, Masvidal is not ready to call time on his career just yet. Other UFC stars have shown that there is life outside of MMA.
With that being said, Masvidal made it clear that he still had a lot to offer.
“If it’s AEW, if it’s WWE, if it’s at a parking lot, at KFC; as long as they pay me, we can play. I’ll go over there right now, right now, and domesticate the f**k outta these pro wrestlers. They need some discipline and direction over there. I’m the dude to do it to them.”
“They send me over there, Endeavor, AEW; wherever the f**k they wanna send me to, I’ll go show these guys some discipline, and put them right in line and domesticate them. But they gotta pay your boy, and that’s a nice ticket right there….If they’re gonna pay me, yeah,” Masvidal
Despite those words, the social media response was far from receptive.
