Liam Harrison’s Title Run in ONE Championship

Facing the Unbeaten Thai, Non-O Proved to be the Ultimate Test for Harrison

For decades British Liam Harrison, nicknamed “The Hitman” has been tearing through the Muay Thai opposition. Not much was left to destroy but then ONE Championship appeared.

Harrison, an eight time world champion, is a household name now with his world class performances consisting of viciously fast hand combinations and terrifying single, double and even triple Low Kicks.

On August 27th 2022 Harrison faced his biggest task yet: a ONE Championship title fight against the unbeaten Thai, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, who was unbeaten in ONE prior to their world championship contest.

The showdown went exactly like Nong-O had predicted: at 2:10 of round 1 of the title showdown Harrison buckled under a devastating right Low Kick and wasn’t able to get up.

Tragic and beautiful at the same time: Harrison suffered a KO due to a technique he has perfected himself whereas Nong-O continues his reign as the king of the Bantamweight division.
