The highly-anticipated rematch between two top lightweights Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira will take place at UFC 294 on October 21st, 2023, at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi.
At UFC 280, Makhachev dethroned Oliveira and became the lightweight champion with a second-round submission victory.
However, Oliveira came back stronger. He faced Beneil Dariush and easily earned a first-round TKO finish. After, the impressive performance over Dariush, Oliveira has the chance to find out who is the best fighter.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Paulo Costa will face Khamzat Chimaev. The latter will hold his second fight in the middleweight division, as he has campaigned mostly at welterweight.
The full card has not been announced, but so far, four fights have been confirmed.
