Matt Brown knocked out Court McGee, equalling Derrick Lewis‘ record for the highest number of knockouts in UFC history.
In the first round of the fight, Brown landed a straight right-hand punch that caused the former TUF winner to fall, and the referee stopped the fight at 4:09.
And in the process of doing so, he achieved his thirteenth knockout victory, which equals the record set by Lewis.
All of the knockouts have been in the welterweight division, which is all the more remarkable given that he is 42 years old.
One man who has set his sights on breaking that already has been none other than Conor McGregor.

The Irishmen made it clear that he had the feat on his mind, having already gotten eight knockout wins to his name.
“Matt Brown, at 42 years of age, now holds the joint highest KOs inside the UFC with 13 KOs. Him and the ‘Beast’ Lewis are tied. I hold 8 KOs inside the UFC currently, at 34 years of age. I’m getting this record,” McGregor
Despite this being the case, the social media response was all about Brown’s impressive feat.
