Conor McGregor dropped his sparring partner in his latest training footage as he prepares to return to the octagon next year.
McGregor’s last fight was back in 2021 when Dustin Poirier stopped him at UFC 264. During the fight, McGregor suffered a broken leg, which has kept him out since then. However, following his recent enrollment into USADA, the former two-weight world champion is on course to make a comeback. A return to UFC 300 was initially teased. But Dana White has ruled that out, with a summer date more likely against Michael Chandler.
In preparation for that, McGregor shared some training footage from Dubai. In the following footage, McGregor sends his sparring partner to the canvas with a trademark left hand. The shot summed up McGregor’s knockout power, as the Irishman has eight knockouts in the UFC. If the ‘Notorious’ keeps up his knockout streak, he will break record Derrick Lewis‘ which stands at 11. And that could be an aim moving forward.
