Conor McGregor showed off some training footage as fans gear up for his comeback next year.
The ‘Notorious’ has been absent from the octagon since he broke his leg during his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. However, following his recent enrollment into USADA, the Irishman is expected to make a comeback next year with the UFC 300 or a summer date being lined up. The time out had left McGregor feeling frustrated, given his struggles with USADA.
“They’re not going to let me fight in December, ladies and gentlemen. You’ve seen Chris Weidman [at UFC 292]. Imagine what that injury is. I feel like I’m being kept from my livelihood, and I’ve been feeling this for years. I’m not going to air grievances,” McGregor stated
Despite this being the case, Michael Chandler appears to be the most likely opponent. As such, McGregor must stay sharp ahead of his return. After all, there is no guarantee that McGregor will be the same fighter after having been out for so long with a career-threatening injury. With that being said, the following clip shows McGregor working the pads ahead of his return with some combinations and head movement.
