Shakur Stevenson Vows To ‘Smack’ Devin Haney, Shakur Could Move Up To 140 To Face Haney

Shakur Stevenson has slammed Devin Haney’s comments towards him in a viral social media rant.

Both fighters appear unlikely to face each other, as they currently navigate two different weight classes. Haney’s quest appears to be getting a belt at 140 by facing Regis Prograis for his WBC title. As for Shakur, he will face Frank Martin for the vacant WBC belt at 135.

But given that Haney did move up, there were suggestions that he had ducked Stevenson. This was despite the fact that Haney had offered 25 percent to fight Shakur. As such, Stevenson responded by posting a video of Bill Haney, which appeared to hint that he did avoid Shakur.

“If it’s too hot at 30, we’ll go to 40,” Bill Haney

And now Shakur has called out Haney for his comments by vowing to confront him if he were present without security.

Shakur Could Move Up To 140

As a result, Stevenson has now revealed that he could move up to 140 pounds to face Haney.

The latter has previously spoken about the difficulties of making 135 pounds, which would make a junior welterweight bout more appealing. Although Haney is in negotiations for a fight with Regis Prograis, both sides have not signed an agreement. And that has left the door open for Stevenson to make a move up in weight.

“I mean, I ain’t gonna count it out. I wouldn’t count it out,” Stevenson
