Tank Davis And David Benavidez Eyed For June PBC Card

Gervonta Davis and David Benavidez could feature on a PBC card on Amazon Prime PPV in June.

The two fighters are PBC’s biggest stars, following uncertainty over Canelo Alvarez’s future. Canelo announced his departure from PBC with two fights remaining on his deal, only for talks to resume over a Jaime Munguia fight.

But the PBC roster still has plenty of big names. Davis’ last fight was a seventh-round knockout win over Ryan Garcia last year, making it the highest-grossing boxing fight of 2023 after it sold over 1.3 million PPVs. Davis then served time in prison for violating his house arrest conditions, but he is now likely to fight Frank Martin

David Benavidez is also looking for his next opponent after stopping Demetrius Andrade in his last bout. The Mexican Monster is the WBC Super Middleweight Interim Champion. But with a Canelo fight unlikely, Benavidez could move up to 175 to face Oleksandr Gvozyk for the WBC Interim Light Heavyweight Title. A victory makes him mandatory for the winner of  Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev for undisputed.
