Unbeaten UFC Aussie Quillan Salkilld Get First Home-Soil Main Event

Australia’s No.6-ranked UFC lightweight Quillan Salkilld (13-1) headlines the UFC Fight Night Sydney event against Benoit Saint Denis (17-4) on February 7, 2027, at Afterpay Arena.

Salkilld, 26, has won all six of his UFC appearances and is riding a 13-fight winning streak. The former Eternal MMA champion has recorded four consecutive first-round finishes, most recently submitting Mateusz Gamrot on August 8.

The Australian also stopped Jamie Mullarkey and Beneil Dariush in the opening round earlier this year, earning performance bonuses in five of his six UFC appearances.

Saint Denis, meanwhile, will look to rebound from a first-round submission defeat against Paddy Pimblett at UFC 329, which ended a four-fight winning streak.

The Frenchman had previously stopped Kyle Prepolec, Mauricio Ruffy, Dariush and Dan Hooker, with all four victories coming inside two rounds. All 17 of his professional victories have come by knockout or submission.

The lightweight contest marks Salkilld’s first UFC main event on home soil, with the promotion returning to Sydney for its first Fight Night event in the city since 2017.

The event will also feature the Road to UFC Season 5 finals, with four UFC contracts available across the women’s strawweight, flyweight, bantamweight and featherweight divisions.
