Rising star Xander Zayas (10-0, 7 KOs) and Dan Karpency (9-3-1, 4 KOs) have been added to the Herring-Stevenson co-feature.

The six-rounder showdown will be held at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on October 23.

Zayas, the Unbeaten junior middleweight, is the favorite to win the contest.

Nico Ali Walsh (1-0, 1 KO) is also making his way into the event after a successful pro boxing debut recently. The grandson of “The Greatest,” Muhammad Ali, will face James Westley II (1-0) in a four-round middleweight tilt.

ESPN will air the event live. Herring will defend his WBO super featherweight title against Stevenson in the main event.

In an interview in early September, Steveson said that Herring is nothing more to him than a friend of his family.

“He’s not my friend. He’s nobody I talk to outside of boxing,” the challengers said in a press conference.

“We don’t get no relationship outside of boxing. He’s somebody I see around. He messes with the same people I mess with. Other than that, we’re not friends. I’ve never really been his friend. He’s a cool person. I got no problem with him at all. It ain’t like I check up on him when I’m not fighting or he checks up on me. I don’t consider that a friend,” he added.
