Anderson Silva has given his take on Jake Paul’s upcoming fight against Nate Diaz.
Following Paul’s loss to Tommy Fury, the first professional boxer he had ever faced in the ring, he has reverted back to fighting non-professional boxers.
Paul’s resume prior to the loss included victories over Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and even Anderson Silva himself.
This time around he faces arguably one of UFC’s biggest names in the form of Nate Diaz on August 5th, 2023, at the American Airlines Center, Dallas.
And that is something that Silva is keen on seeing play out.
“It’s very hard to say who will win. Both are good fighters, very good fighters. Nate has more experience, good boxing, good cardio. I respect both. I’m waiting for the best show for us.
“I’m so happy to see this fight… I think (Diaz) has more experience and is the favorite,” Silva
That admiration, however, has been clouded by Silva’s desire to put things right. Despite being at the age of 48, he has left the door open to return to boxing in the hope that he can avenge his loss against Paul.
This may have partly been fueled by seeing his son, Gabriel Silva, win on his pro-boxing debut just this month.
“Maybe who wins the fight, I fight too. Maybe, I don’t know. Let’s go see,” Silva
