Former UFC champion Anderson Silva was in the corner of his son’s boxing match.
On Saturday night in Bahia, Brazil, Kalyl Silva fought Paulo dos Santos in a four-round matchup for the 155-pound weight class.
The 23-year-old, backed by “The Spider” and boxing trainer Luiz Carlos Dorea, delivered a vicious left hook to the body in the last frame before putting his opponent through excruciating pain with an overhand right.
Dos Santos was especially affected by the body shot as he held his stomach in agony and could not get back up before the referee had completed his count to ten.
Kalyl posted:
“Pro debut started off with a bang! Fourth round knockout. Thank you to everyone that’s part of this journey with me. Forever thankful. On to the next.”

The son of the UFC legend competed in three amateur kickboxing matches before switching to boxing, defeating Anthony Reynaga in August 2021 with a single punch.
But after going 2-1 in kickboxing as an amateur, Kalyl lost a decision against Michael Mitchell in September and appeared to give up the sport.
