Andrade Offers To Replace Alvarez On May 5th

In a story first reported by World Boxing News, Demetrius Andrade’s promoter claims his fighter is ready to face Gennady Golovkin on May 5th.

Artie Pellulo, who promotes the middleweight, claimed Monday, that since Andrade is already training for a fight in the same time frame as the scheduled May 5th date for Golovkin’s rematch against Canelo Alvarez, he’s more than ready to replace the currently suspended Mexican middleweight.

While nothing can be decided until April 10th, when Alvarez has his hearing with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Pellullo believes his fighter would be ready to go.

“Absolutely Demetrius Andrade would take that fight,” Pellulo claimed while talking to World Boxing News.

Pellulo claims that he has made contact with Golovkin’s promoter, Tom Loeffler, and claims no other middleweight would want to face his fighter.

“Danny Jacobs won’t fight Demetrius, Canelo won’t fight Demetrius, but Golovkin would absolutely fight Andrade because he’s a fighter.”
