Andy Ruiz Jr. Has Anthony Joshua In His Sights
It seems like Andy Ruiz Jr. (34-2, 22 KOs) is looking ahead to the fight against Luis Ortiz on September 4.
The 32-year-old said that he wants a trilogy fight with Anthony Joshua once he gets the better of the veteran boxer.
“Luis Ortiz hurt him two times and almost became a champion against Wilder,” said Ruiz Jr to K.O. Artists Sports.
“A lot of people think Luis Ortiz is going to beat me, but I’m not going to argue with them.”
The 32-year-old has already tasted defeat against Joshua in his career. Apart from this defeat, both of his defeats have come against fighters above 40 years of age.
“Of course, there’s the blood that needs to get back to me because I won AJ won time, and he won me the other time because of myself. I didn’t do the right things,” said Ruiz.
“Right now, I feel I’m in the right state of mind. Either one would be good about him being interested in fighting Joshua or Deontay Wilder.
“I’m going to go for Tyson Fury because of his style. Tyson is a good guy, even though he does a lot of show.”
