Andy Ruiz vs. Chris Arreola Gets Date Change, Undercard Revealed
Andy Ruiz vs. Chris Arreola has a new date.
The two heavyweights are scheduled to compete in the headliner of a PBC on PPV card. Ruiz hasn’t competed since his December 2019 loss to Anthony Joshua in their rematch. Arreola’s last outing took place in August 2019 when he was defeated by Adam Kownacki.
Ruiz vs. Arreola was initially penciled in for April 24. That date has changed. Damon Martin of BoxingScene.com has gotten word that the new date is May 1. A venue will be announced in the near future.
Some undercard matches have been revealed as well. In addition to Ruiz vs. Arreola, fight fans will also get to see Sebastian Fundora take on Jorge Cota. Omar Figueroa Jr. vs. Abel Ramos and Jesus Ramos vs. Javier Molina are also scheduled for the PPV event.
Ruiz vs. Arreola has gone through its share of delays. The heavyweight tilt was going to take place on November 7, 2020 but was eventually moved to April 24. Those anticipating this heavyweight clash are hoping that the May 1 date sticks.
