Angela Hill Ready For Another Short-Notice Fight
At one point, it appeared that Angela Hill’s future in the UFC was in question. Now, she has managed to become the company’s most important assets. “Overkill” will look to continue to prove that as she is set to fight for the sixth time since the start of 2019.
Hill (11-7) will replace an injured Hannah Goldy and face Loma Lookboonmee at UFC on ESPN+ 26 in Aukland, New Zealand. Her manager made the announcement on social media that that she’ll be fighting inside the Spark Arena on February 22.

Hannah Goldy stated she won’t be able to compete in the fight after sustaining a shoulder injury. Hill was able to step up right as the announcement was made.
This will be Hill’s fourth time fighting on short notice since April 2019. The 35-year-old beat Jodie Esquibel via unanimous decision in Florida on April 27. She then lost a bout to Yan Xiaonan at UFC 238 in June before making a quick turnaround against Ariane Carnelossi in September, beating her via TKO. Just recently (January 25), Hill beat Hannah Cifers via TKO in Raleigh.
The only fighter that can compare to Hill is Donald Cerrone, who has fought eight times since 2018, and five times since the start of 2019.
This will be Lookboonmee’s (4-1) second fight in the UFC, following a split decision win over Aleksandra Albu back in October. She is currently on a two-fight win streak.
